ABOUT US
Easter is a holiday with long traditions in Sápmi. At Easter, the Sami gathered before moving to the coast with the reindeer. Weddings, christenings, confirmations, and reindeer racing usually took place at Easter.
Over time, the Easter celebration has grown, and we have a program that is suitable for families, young people and adults - both for Sami and others. The program includes outdoor activities, market, duodji, photo and art exhibitions, theater, reindeer racing, scooter cross, fishing competitions, service of worship and of course Sámi Grand Prix and other fantastic concerts where you can experience both traditional yoik and modern Sami music!
Sami Musicfestival is responsible for most events and coordinates all events so that the guests at Sami Easter Festival will have the best possible Easter experience!
